Marina O'Rourke has over 18 years of work experience. Marina began their career in 2003 as a POS Project Manager at Subway, where they were tasked with leading the POS team to provide POS updates and support. Marina was later promoted to Director of Retail Technology, where they were responsible for improving store systems, including POS, reporting, payments and PCI, and grew the team from 20 to 70+.
In 2012, Marina was recruited by the President, former COO, and their manager at Subway, to ServiceMaster as a Sr. Director, Franchise Ops, IT. Marina was tasked with improving profitability and preparing for an IPO, as well as insourcing from IBM, and was behind schedule in writing an application for MerryMaids.
In 2017, Marina was recruited by Tropical Smoothie Cafe as Vice President of Technology, where they were responsible for developing and professionalizing the technology organization and implementing new store systems to support digital strategy.
In 2020, Marina joined Franchise Payments Network as the COO/General Manager.
Most recently, Marina is employed as a Fractional CIO at Tsource, LLC and as a Strategy Consultant at FranConnect.
Marina O'Rourke completed their MBA in Business Administration from the University of New Haven between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, they attended the University of Louisville between 1983 and 1988, where they studied Piano Pedagogy and Electrical Engineering.
