Purpose of Position

To establish long-lasting relationships with potential clients and prospects while maintaining a high level of engagement with existing customers, resulting in growth and profitability while meeting company goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in business and or Construction Management preferred. 5+ years Business Development experience with direct sales experience in the commercial concrete industry (required) implementing business development strategies, submitting proposals, and presentations.

  • Ability to provide and implement strategies, tactics and plans for new business development, client relationships and business opportunities.

  • Deliver high impact sales presentations to potential customers.

  • Work with operations department to ensure we deliver excellence to our customers.

  • Collaborate in the creation of marketing materials to assist in promoting business and new business development.

  • Build partnerships with local construction industries through active involvement with ABC, TCA, and other industry groups.

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, and ability to establish collaborative relationships with internal and external clients.

  • Consistently meets and/or exceeds sales targets.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attend weekly pipeline and projection meetings.

  • Work closely with Estimating department

  • Collaborate with Marketing dept.

  • Contract review and scope review

  • Develop business relationships with existing and prior customers, architects and engineers and promote the benefits of tilt-wall, industrial floors and other T&T Construction preferred building systems.

  • Research periodicals, industry news, and news media to identify potential projects and new business.

  • Contact existing and prior customers to assess satisfaction levels.

  • Assist Estimating Department in bid process for new and existing customers including preparing pre-qualification packages.

  • Provide recommendations to Senior Management Team for improving sales penetration including researching and locating new market opportunities.

  • Manage and provide accurate sales pipeline data and report weekly to corporate operations.

  • Strong collaboration with Chief Estimator, Regional Managers, and senior leadership during Best and Final Offers (BAFO).

  • All other required duties.
