Ömer Fatih Sayan

Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan was born in 1977 in Istanbul. He received his undergraduate degrees from Istanbul University - Electronics Engineering, Bahçeşehir University - Faculty of Law and Oxford University - St Antony's School Diplomacy Education. He received his master's degree in Munich Technical University - Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Communication Engineering, Istanbul University - Biomedical Engineering. He received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Istanbul University. Sayan started his business life in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 1995, and after his university education, he worked in the fields of chip production, mobile phone design and R&D in private companies related to the sector in Turkey, Germany and the United States. Sayan, who has been working on entrepreneurship by taking part in the Silicon Valley initiative, has given lectures on IT Law and New Trends in Informatics at various universities in Turkey and Germany. Sayan has many articles published in various conferences and scientific journals on his research topics. Between 2007 and 2014, he served as the Prime Minister's Advisor and the Prime Minister's Chief Advisor. Between June 2015 and July 2018, he served as the President of the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK).
