Paulo Milheiro Mendes

Paulo Milheiro Mendes is an accomplished expert in network architectures and wireless communications, currently serving as an Expert Network Architectures and Senior Scientist at Airbus since February 2019. Additionally, Mendes holds the position of Associated Researcher at the Technical University of Munich since June 2022 and previously contributed as a Research Collaborator at ISTAR-IUL from December 2017 to March 2024. From February 2019 to October 2022, Mendes worked as an Invited Associate Professor at ULHT and co-founded Senception Lda, serving as CTO while developing non-intrusive sensing technologies. Previous roles include Senior Researcher and Associate Professor at COPELABS/University Lusofona, Area Leader and Senior Researcher at INESC Porto, and Senior Researcher at DoCoMo Euro-Labs. Mendes completed a PhD in Networking at Universidade de Coimbra and holds degrees from Columbia University and Instituto Superior Técnico, including a Habilitation in Computer Science from Universidade de Coimbra.
