Catherine Sweeney

Catherine Sweeney has extensive experience in the field of special education and student services. Catherine is currently the Director of Special Education and Student Services at Tuckahoe Union Free School District, a role they began in July 2021. Prior to this, Catherine served as a Special Education Administrator at Mahopac Central School District from July 2016 to July 2021. Before that, they worked as a Special Education Administrator/CSE Chairperson at Chappaqua Central School District from July 2014 to June 2016. Catherine's earlier experience includes serving as a Psychologist/CSE Chairperson at Nanuet School District from September 2004 to July 2014, and as a Psychologist at Wappingers Central School District from July 2000 to September 2004.

Catherine Sweeney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Russian from the University of Notre Dame. Catherine also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Counseling Psychology, as well as a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology, from Boston College. Additionally, they earned an Advanced Certificate in School District Leader from Fordham University.
