Gary Trent

Gary Trent has over two decades of experience in the field of electrical engineering, with a significant tenure at Tucson Electric Power since May 2000. In the role of Manager of Transmission Planning, responsibilities include developing WECC Base Cases and conducting various studies related to transmission planning and compliance. Prior positions include Principal Transmission Engineer, where tasks involved leading transmission planning studies and participating in NERC compliance activities. Earlier in his career, Gary served as an Electrical Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center and Los Alamos National Laboratory, and had a brief stint as a Student Intern at Tucson Electric Power. Educational credentials include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University.
