Joel Turnbull

Joel Turnbull is an experienced petroleum engineer and development manager with a robust background in subsurface and development projects within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Developments Manager at Tullow Oil since April 2021, Joel oversees subsurface and development efforts for Ghana's producing assets, including the Jubilee and TEN fields. Previous positions include Asset Manager at Sasol Exploration and Production International, where responsibilities encompassed all aspects of the Etame Marine Permit in Gabon, and Area Development Manager for West Africa at Sasol UK Limited. With earlier roles spanning various companies, including Nexen and E.ON Ruhrgas AG, Joel has cultivated expertise in reservoir engineering and asset management. Joel holds a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Warwick.
