The Role We are looking for a versatile Marketing Manager to lead the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of Tunnl's marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate will excel in managing and optimizing marketing processes, developing a comprehensive marketing playbook, and creating tailored content for target accounts. As the sole in-house practitioner, supported by external resources, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Account Management, Product, and Partnerships) to drive brand awareness and credibility among key buying personas through various strategic and tactical efforts. The Marketing Manager will report to Brian Rose, Chief Revenue Officer. This role will be in-person, based at our headquarters in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to identify key prospects/audiences and develop tailored content for them (e.g. website copy, slides, email templates/sequences, blog posts, sales collateral)
  • Develop and execute a content calendar and end-to-end marketing initiatives (e.g. email marketing, social media, pay-per-click, account-based marketing) that align with sales objectives to boost brand awareness and credibility, leading to audience growth, lead generation, and efficient customer acquisition.
  • Develop and implement lead generation (e.g. gated content, Tunnl-hosted events, ads) and nurturing (e.g. drip campaigns) workflows to move leads through the sales funnel.
  • Measure and report on the success of campaigns and optimize based on real-time analytics and data (e.g. leads, ad performance, website analytics, LinkedIn analytics, gated content downloads).
  • In addition to the top priority sales goals, support other company initiatives such as employer branding through marketing campaigns using best practices (e.g., keyword research and SEO).
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in marketing and sales.

Requirements

  • i.e. 5 years of experience working on the marketing team at an early- to growth-stage B2B SaaS startup, or similar
  • Experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns and lead generation programs, and reporting results
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS sales cycles and can strategically use marketing communication to nurture leads, and accelerate growth
  • Demonstrable expertise with HubSpot is a must with a preference for certifications (e.g., HubSpot Marketing Software Certification)
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven and goals-based approach to marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite 
  • Experience with content marketing (paid and organic) on platforms like LinkedIn
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Experience with cross-team communication, rapport-building, and information-sharing in support of company goals
