Sandeep Mittal, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sandeep is currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Faculty at Columbia University School of Professional Studies since May 2021. In 2022, they joined TurbineOne as a Machine Learning Engineer. Prior to this, Sandeep worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory from December 2020 to January 2022.

Earlier in their career, Sandeep worked as a Research Assistant at The Research Foundation for SUNY from May 2015 to December 2020. In this role, they focused on developing an autonomous UAV indoor navigation system using computer vision, image processing, and machine learning. Sandeep also worked as an ORISE Research Fellow at FDA for a brief period from June 2020 to September 2020.

Sandeep has also gained industry experience, having worked as a Speaker at SEMICON West in July 2019. Sandeep previously worked as a Software Engineer at Citrix from January 2012 to December 2013 and as a Software Development Engineer at Dell from August 2009 to December 2011.

Sandeep Mittal, Ph.D. has a strong educational background in computer science. Sandeep obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science from Bangalore University, from 2005 to 2009. Sandeep further pursued their studies at Binghamton University, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from 2014 to 2015. Sandeep's passion for the field led him to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Binghamton University, which they successfully completed from 2015 to 2020.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sandeep has also obtained certifications in the field of deep learning. Sandeep completed the "TensorFlow in Practice" certification from deeplearning.ai in March 2020, and the "Deep Learning" certification from the same institution in February 2020. These certifications showcase their dedication to staying updated with the latest advancements in the field.
