Ruth Hengari

Ruth Hengari has extensive experience in finance and accounting. Ruth is currently serving as the Senior Director of Global Accounting & Control at Turnitin since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Finance Operations at Turnitin from December 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining Turnitin, Ruth worked as a Lecturer in Finance and Accounting at Belfast Metropolitan College starting in January 2021.

Ruth also held various positions at Imperva, starting as a Global Accounting Senior Manager from August 2019 to January 2021, and then as the Director of Global Accounting from January 2021 to January 2022. At Imperva, they oversaw the global close process, managed payroll, and held legal directorship and company secretarial duties.

Ruth previously worked at Axiom as a Financial Accounting Manager, where they were responsible for financial accounting and reporting for multiple entities. Ruth started in February 2018 and worked until August 2019. Before that, they worked as a Financial Accountant at Axiom from January 2017 to February 2018.

Prior to Axiom, Ruth served as a Hedge Fund Accountant at HedgeServ from October 2015 to January 2017. Ruth also gained auditing experience at BDO Cayman Islands, where they worked as an Audit Senior from September 2014 to September 2015, and at BDO NI, where they served as an Audit Senior from October 2011 to September 2014.

Ruth Hengari began their education at Sullivan Upper School from 2000 to 2007. Ruth then attended Queens University Belfast from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a BSc Hons in Accounting. From 2010 to 2011, Ruth pursued a PgDip in Advanced Accounting at the University of Ulster. Lastly, from 2010 to 2014, they studied at the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
