Juan Camilo Granados Saavedra has a diverse work experience. Juan Camilo co-founded and served as the Director of Hostal Villa San Juan since 2017, where they focused on promoting sustainable tourism and introducing a model for rural community-based tourism. Juan Camilo also worked as a Chemistry Tutor for Tutor.com since 2016. In addition, Juan was an Associate Researcher at Marco Quijano Rico Ph.D. from 2016 to 2018, studying high altitude tropical viticulture and the effect of a new disease on wine production. Juan Camilo also worked as a PhD Assistant at Universidad Nacional de Colombia from 2016 to 2017, conducting research on the reaction evaluation of glycerol with methanol over solid acid catalysts. Prior to that, they worked as an Ingeniero de Proyectos at COMPAÑIA ELECTRICA DE SOCHAGOTA S.A. E.S.P - TERMOPAIPA IV in 2015, focusing on proposing a treatment for the discharge of thermal mineral waters with high sulfate content. Lastly, they worked as a Quality Control Intern at BASF Quimica Colombiana S.A. in 2014, where they provided support in production, inventory management, and analysis of raw materials and finished products.
Juan Camilo Granados Saavedra obtained their degree in Ingeniero Químico from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where they studied from 2009 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachiller Académico from Colegio Refous, spanning from 1996 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Juan Camilo also obtained a certification in Python Essentials 1 from Cisco in July 2022.
