Kari Hauge has diverse work experience in various roles. Starting in 1986, they worked as a Branch Supervisor at Multnomah County Library, managing staff, resolving issues, and overseeing the branch collection. Kari also conducted outreach and assisted the public at the reference desk. From 2009 to 2011, they served as the Public Access Services Manager at Portland State University, where they managed library operations and a team of eight staff members. Kari then worked as a Library Services Supervisor at Albuquerque Bernalillo County Libraries from 2012 to 2013. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as an Assistant Librarian at the University of New Mexico. In 2016, they worked briefly as a Caregiver at Comfort Keepers. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Freelance Writer for QUARTO CHILDREN'S BOOKS LIMITED and later joined Tutor.com as a Writing Tutor. In 2018, they also worked as a Librarian at Ghost Ranch Education & Retreat Center, where they managed a special library and supervised volunteers and interns. Currently, they are self-employed as an Online Tutor and Traveling House/Pet-sitter.
