Ted Oliphant

Senior Director of Manufacturing at TVAX Biomedical

Ted Oliphant has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in various roles. Starting in 2007, they worked at Pfizer as a Senior Scientist, where they were the biotherapeutics lead on a monoclonal antibody project and provided expertise in cloning, purification, and characterization of multiple antibody projects. In 2010, they became a Principal Scientist at Pfizer Animal Health, later transitioning to the role of Senior Scientist. In 2013, they joined Zoetis as a Principal Scientist, overseeing a mammalian expression group and the cell line development group. Ted then worked as a Senior Principal Scientist at Zoetis Inc. from 2014 to 2015. Moving on to Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health - US in 2015, they served as the Associate Director of the Research Early Development group, managing the process development group across two sites and developing scalable processes for viral and bacterial vaccine antigens. In 2018, they joined KindredBio as the Director of Process Development and Biomanufacturing. Following this, they worked at Merck as the Director of Operations from 2020 to 2023. Currently, they are the Senior Director of Manufacturing at TVAX Biomedical, Inc.

Ted Oliphant completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Brigham Young University in 2003. Ted then pursued further studies and received a PhD in Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Pathogenesis from Washington University in St. Louis in 2007.
