Chief Data Scientist at Twenty First Group

Sophie Tomlinson has a diverse work experience in various sectors. Sophie began their career at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in 2014 as an Assistant Economist (Fast Stream), where they worked for over a year. Next, they joined the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, also as an Assistant Economist (Fast Stream), and remained there for two years. Sophie then moved to the Department for Education in 2017, where they worked as an Assistant Economist (Fast Stream) for a year. In 2018, they had a brief stint as an Economic Adviser at the Office of Manpower Economics. Currently, Sophie holds two roles at Twenty First Group. Sophie started as a Data Scientist in July 2018 and was later promoted to Chief Data Scientist in January 2021.

Sophie Tomlinson completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Oxford, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London, from 2015 to 2017.
