Nigel W. has a diverse and extensive work experience in information security, risk management, and data privacy, primarily in the financial services industry. Nigel is currently employed as the Data Privacy Manager at Tyl by NatWest since February 2021.

Prior to this role, Nigel worked at 365Risk from 2014 to 2021. During their tenure, they held various positions including Data Privacy Consultant, Cyber Security & Data Privacy Consultant, Lead Information Security/Privacy Consultant, Audit Lead, and Lead SME. Nigel demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and collaborated effectively with teams in large, complex, and highly regulated financial services organizations. Nigel focused on delivering pragmatic solutions aligned with business needs and risk appetite to safeguard business and customer information assets.

Before joining 365Risk, Nigel served in Lloyds Banking Group from 2011 to 2014. In this period, they held the position of Head of Information Risk & Security for TSB Bank plc, accountable for managing operational risks related to information risk and security within TSB Bank. Nigel also worked as a Lead Business Partner seconded to Financial Crime.

From 2009 to 2011, Nigel worked at Lloyds Banking Group plc as the Head of Risk, EAD, Group IT, and Head of Risk, Central Functions, Group IT.

Prior to their tenure in Lloyds Banking Group, Nigel held various roles in HBOS plc from 2001 to 2009. Nigel served as the Head of Information & IT Risk, Business Relationship Manager - Information & IT Risk, Business Platform Manager - Corporate and Group, Head of Support - Local Distributed Platform, and Service Manager - Distributed Technology Services. Nigel successfully implemented strategies and processes to improve service, reduce costs, and ensure consistency across diverse technology estates.
