Charmaine Padayachy

Charmaine Padayachy is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in commercial strategy and investment across Africa and Southeast Asia. Currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Tyme since February 2025, Charmaine leads efforts to drive sustainable growth in digital banking through strategic partnerships and expansion initiatives. Previously at African Rainbow Capital from November 2016 to February 2025, Charmaine specialized in sourcing and managing investments in financial services and technology. Prior roles include Principal at Omidyar Network focusing on venture capital in Sub-Saharan Africa, Associate Principal at ABSA Capital Private Equity, and roles at EY, Standard Bank Group, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Charmaine holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Johannesburg and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Pretoria.
