Benjamin Gelb

Benjamin Gelb has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Benjamin is currently employed at Tymit as the Lead Product Manager, starting in May 2023. Prior to Tymit, Gelb worked as a Product mentor and consultant from September 2022 to May 2023. Benjamin also studied at Ironhack from September to December 2022.

In terms of their previous roles, Gelb worked at Chessable Limited as the VP of Product/Head of Product from July 2021 to September 2022. Benjamin was responsible for scaling the Product development organization, leading a team of 40+ members, creating and maintaining a Product Roadmap, managing Product Managers, and restructuring the Product Development process. Before that, Gelb served as a Senior Product Manager at Chessable Limited from July 2020 to July 2021.

Prior to their time at Chessable Limited, Gelb worked at Holded as a Product Manager from November 2019 to July 2020. Benjamin also gained experience at Typeform.com, where they held various roles including Product Manager from September 2018 to November 2019, and Business systems and Technical Product Manager from February 2018 to November 2019. At Typeform.com, Gelb contributed to building Business Systems architecture, creating a roadmap for future initiatives, implementing Standard Operating Procedures, improving security standards and GDPR compliance, and administering tools.

Gelb's earlier experiences include working at Gringo on the Beach, where they held roles in Media, Marketing, and Community Outreach from July 2012 to November 2019. Benjamin also briefly served as the International Business Development for the same company in July and August 2012. Additionally, Gelb co-founded and served as the CEO of Jobgator- Snapping up your dream job from July 2016 to December 2018. Benjamin was responsible for increasing job applicants' chances of receiving their dream job and seeking seed and angel investment opportunities.

Furthermore, Gelb worked at Bookingbug as a Product Manager from July 2016 to April 2017, and at State Street as a Project Manager Scrum Master from June 2015 to July 2016, and as a Project Analyst Senior Associate throughout 2015.

In 2019, they completed a Certificate in Negotiation Mastery from Harvard Business School, specializing in the field of Negotiation.

From 2011 to 2015, Gelb attended the University of Vermont and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Their major was Community Development and Applied Economics, and Economics.

During their time at the University of Vermont, Gelb also studied at the University of Vermont College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, focusing on Community Development and Applied Economics.

In 2014, Gelb briefly studied International Economics at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

In 2022, Gelb participated in a program at Ironhack, specializing in Front-End Web Development, which introduced him to the field of Computer Programming.

In addition to their formal education, Gelb has obtained various certifications. In November 2021, they completed the Reforge Retention and Engagement Deep Dive program offered by Reforge. In May 2020, they completed the Reforge Experimentation and Testing Deep Dive program from the same institution.

Gelb also holds a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification obtained in January 2016 from Scrum Alliance. Lastly, they completed the Google Foundations of UX design course on Coursera, offered by Google, although the exact dates of completion are unknown.
