Martin Alain

Martin Alain is a highly experienced professional in the field of computer vision and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Director and Computer Vision and AI Researcher at Pleno AI Ltd and as a Computer Vision Researcher at Tyndall FX since February 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Researcher at Huawei Ireland Research Center from January 2022 to February 2023, and Associate Faculty at National College of Ireland for a brief period in 2021. Martin Alain also held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at Trinity College Dublin from September 2016 to January 2022, and completed a Ph.D. as a student at Technicolor from October 2012 to May 2016, in partnership with INRIA Rennes. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Signal Processing and Telecommunications from Université de Rennes I (2012-2016) and a Diplôme d'Ingénieur - Master Recherche in Electronics with a specialization in Signal and Image Processing from ENSEIRB-MATMECA (2009-2012).
