Lukas Gysin

Lukas Gysin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lukas is currently the Founder & Managing Partner of smartGAP, a consultancy boutique in Zurich that provides expertise and networking support to startups and corporates.

Prior to smartGAP, Gysin served as the Associate Partner-Startup Scaleup Desk at FS Partners, where they offered financial support and governance services to startups. Lukas was also actively involved in uniqFEED, first as a Founder in 2015 and later as a Delegate of the Board of Directors & CEO until 2021. uniqFEED is an ETH Zurich spin-off and an Innosuisse coached startup.

Gysin's finance and management experience includes roles such as Chief Financial Officer & Secretary of the Board of Directors at Mägerle AG Maschinenfabrik, H. Obrist & Co. AG, and Schmerzklinik Basel. Lukas also worked as a Client Advisor and Associate Director at UBS, Business Banking, Corporate & Institutional Clients.

Additionally, Gysin has acted as a startup mentor and service provider at ETH Zurich, fostering the growth and development of emerging businesses. Currently, they hold the position of Board Secretary & CFO at Typewise, a company that utilizes AI technology for improving written communication and enhancing customer service.

Throughout their career, Gysin has been recognized for their entrepreneurial skills and contributions. Lukas holds an MBA in Rochester-Berne and has received various accolades, including the CES Innovation Awards in 2021 and 2022 for Typewise.

Lukas Gysin's education history is as follows:

In 2001 to 2003, Lukas attended KV Business School Zürich and earned a degree as an Accountant with a Federal Diploma of Professional Education and Training (PET) - Fachausweis.

From 2005 to 2008, Lukas studied at EXPERTsuisse and obtained the Swiss Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Dipl. Wirtschaftsprüfer degree.

During the period of 2012 to 2014, Lukas pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in General Management. Lukas attended the University of Rochester and also studied at the University of Rochester - Simon Business School. Additionally, Lukas participated in the Rochester-Bern Executive Programs.

In 2020, Lukas briefly attended IMD and completed the Leading in the Digital Age (LDA) program.
