Federico Guerra

Federico Guerra has a comprehensive work experience in the field of software engineering, telecommunications, and network simulation. Federico started their career as a Telecommunications and Software Engineer at Consorzio Ferrara Ricerche in 2008. Federico then worked as a Contractor on network simulation topics at the Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation in 2009. In the same year, they also worked as a Telecommunications and Software Engineer at Patavina Technologies S.r.l. In 2010, they worked as a Contractor on network simulation topics at Università degli Studi di Padova, and then as a Telecom Engineer and Sales Account at Teletronica S.p.A. In 2011, Federico joined Wireless & More / Patavina Technologies / Dipartimento d'Ingegneria dell'Informazione (DEI) UniPD as a Consulente sviluppo software. Since then, they have worked at various roles in u-blox, including Embedded Software Engineer, Senior Embedded Software Engineer, and currently as a Principal Software Engineer. Federico'sexpertise includes system architecture, software design, protocol stack analysis and design for cellular modules, Linux kernel and user space design and development, as well as access stratum and NAS protocols. Federico is also experienced in m2m applications, VoLTE/IMS, CellLocate, ETWS, and embedded operating systems such as ThreadX, Linux, and Android.

Federico Guerra holds a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Padua, which they completed in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Engineering from the same university in 2005. Federico received their secondary education at Liceo Scientifico and earned a Diploma di Liceo Scientifico in 2001. In addition to their formal education, Federico has obtained various certifications, including C++ Design Patterns: Creational and Software Architecture: Patterns for Developers from LinkedIn in 2022, as well as a Professional Engineering Examination - Esame di Stato per la professione di Ingegnere from the University of Padua in 2009.
