Jennifer Costanza Shopkorn

Jennifer Costanza Shopkorn has extensive experience in government and public sector roles. Jennifer served as the Strategy Director for the U.S. Census Bureau, where they were responsible for leading the communications team. Prior to this, Jennifer was the Senior Advisor for Communications at the Census Bureau, where they designed strategic communication campaigns, managed relationships with civil society and philanthropy groups, and co-led the Trust & Safety Team for the 2020 Census.

Before their work at the Census Bureau, Jennifer was the Associate Director for Legislative Affairs/Executive Officer at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, they advised the Secretary of Commerce on Congressional strategy and messaging for scientific and data issues. Jennifer also built relationships with Members of Congress and advocacy organizations and trained Department of Commerce leadership on effective communication.

Jennifer's earlier experience includes roles at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, where they served as a Fishery Policy Analyst, Policy Analyst, and Program Coordination Officer/Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellow. Jennifer led collaboration efforts, planned events, built internal communication offices, and demonstrated the ability to drive consensus.
