Nick Bartelt

Nick Bartelt is an Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Copyright Office since July 2018, contributing to agency rulemakings and advising on copyright litigation matters. Previously, Nick served as a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Fordham IP Institute from September 2011 to June 2018, where responsibilities included steering amicus brief participation and engaging in international IP dialogues. Nick also held roles as Assistant Director, Senior Fellow, and Research & Conference Fellow at the Institute, involving oversight of strategic initiatives and contributions to various amicus curiae briefs. As a self-employed Copyright and Trademark Attorney from January 2014 to June 2018, Nick provided legal counsel to creatives and small businesses. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Roosevelt University.
