Nakuma Wani-Kenyi

Nakuma Wani-Kenyi, Esq. serves as a Senior Attorney at the U.S. Department of Commerce since March 2021, following a tenure as an Associate Attorney at District Legal Group, PLLC. Prior experience includes a position as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Denise M. Francois at the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands and a Research, Evaluation, and Learning Fellow with the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative. Nakuma has also worked as an In-house Associate with the Association of Corporate Counsel and as a Student Attorney in the International Human Rights Law Clinic at American University Washington College of Law. Academic qualifications include a Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Additional education includes an Associate's Degree in Social Sciences from Virginia Western Community College.
