Josh Mengers

Josh Mengers, PhD, currently serves as a Federal Project Director and Project Manager for the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on the safe cleanup of environmental legacies from nuclear energy research at the Energy Technology Engineering Center. Previously, Josh Mengers held a position as a Physical Scientist at DARPA, contributing to the development of advanced hypersonic technologies. An experienced research and teaching assistant at the University of Notre Dame, Josh Mengers completed in-depth research in combustion systems and taught foundational engineering principles to undergraduate students. Earlier military experience includes serving as a Combat Engineer Officer in the US Army, where Josh Mengers managed restoration projects for Iraq's electrical infrastructure. Josh Mengers holds a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
