Joseph Vaughan

Joseph Vaughan currently serves as a Policy Advisor in the Office of Investment Security at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Joseph was a Research Fellow in the Innovation Policy Division at In-Q-Tel and completed an internship at Albright Stonebridge Group in the Global Innovation & Growth Group. Previous experience includes research internships at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Treasury, as well as various investment roles at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, covering sectors such as emerging markets and healthcare. Joseph also gained experience with KKR & Co. Inc. as an Associate Secondee in Global Macro & Asset Allocation. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS and dual bachelor's degrees in Finance and Economics from The University of Texas at Austin, complemented by studies at the University of Bath.
