Amanda Joy Anderson

Amanda Joy Anderson, PhD, MPA, RN, is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in nursing, research, and leadership. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since September 2024, Amanda has previously contributed as a Research Project Assistant at The Research Foundation for SUNY and as a clinical nurse reviewer for Health/ROI. Notably, Amanda was a RWJF Clinical Scholars Fellow from 2020 to 2023, participating in a prestigious national leadership program. With a strong editorial background, Amanda served on the editorial board of the American Journal of Nursing and led initiatives at Mount Sinai Health System, where roles included Associate Director of Care Transitions and Assistant Director of Quality, Patient Care Services. Amanda's academic qualifications include a PhD in Nursing from the University at Buffalo, as well as master's degrees in Public Administration and Nursing Administration from Baruch College and Hunter College, respectively, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Cedarville University.
