Crystal Tabor

Crystal Tabor is an experienced Lead Peer Specialist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since November 2008, where responsibilities include developing training opportunities, mentoring staff, and advocating for Peer Support Specialists across the Eastern Colorado Veterans Health Care System. Crystal has contributed to the Peer Support program within the Suicide Prevention Team while directly supporting enrolled Veterans. Previous roles include serving as a Certified Mental Health Peer Support Specialist at the Austin Psychosocial Rehabilitation & Recovery Center, Office Administrator for the Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Program, and Assistant Supervisor in Medical Administration Services, overseeing a large team of medical administrative staff. Crystal's earlier experience includes working at USAA as a Member Service Specialist and serving in the US Army as a Sergeant/Section Leader. Academic credentials include a BA in Art/Art Studies from West Texas A&M University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences from Amarillo College.
