Shirley Nkone

Shirley Nkone is an experienced Public Health Management Information Specialist Lead at the US Embassy South Africa - CDC since April 2016, providing leadership and technical guidance for health management information systems projects in collaboration with the South African Department of Health. Prior to this role, Shirley served as Deputy Director of Strategic Information Management (Database) at the Department of Health Free State from April 2014 to March 2016, and as a Senior Management Information Specialist at North West University Potchefstroom Campus from May 2008 to March 2014, where expertise in Business Intelligence and database management was applied. Additional experience includes positions as Statistics Supervisor at Life Healthcare and as Chemical Plant Operator at Sasol. Shirley holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from North-West University and a National Diploma in Chemical Plant Operation from Sasolburg Technical College.
