Lydia Angel is currently serving as the Energy and Environment Policy Advisor for Congressman Steny H. Hoyer at the U.S. House of Representatives since November 2023. Prior to this role, Lydia worked as a Federal Affairs Specialist at Alliant Energy from February 2021 to November 2023. Lydia started gaining experience in government affairs as an intern at the United States Senate under Senator Jeff Merkley and at Berkshire Hathaway Energy while obtaining a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Oregon, where Lydia attended from 2017 to 2020 and was part of the Clark Honors College. Additional experience includes working as a Biology Undergraduate Lab Assistant at the University of Oregon from April 2018 to June 2020. Education was completed at River Hill High School from 2013 to 2017.
