Aya Maher

Aya Maher is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in international relations and media. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at the U.S.-Japan Council since September 2016, Aya has previously held roles such as Communications Manager and Digital Communications Specialist. Notably, Aya worked as a Project Manager for Roads and Kingdoms, overseeing a digital companion project for a gastro-tourism guidebook in collaboration with Microsoft and Anthony Bourdain. Aya's background includes serving as a White House Reporter for Asahi Shimbun, where expertise in political reporting, audience engagement, and social media was developed.
