Joseph Pickenpaugh

Joseph Pickenpaugh, PE, PMP, serves as a Staff Engineer for NORAD and US Northern Command since June 2022, following a distinguished 14-year career with the United States Air Force. Over this tenure, Joseph held various leadership roles, including Deputy Commander of the 51st Civil Engineer Squadron, where responsibilities included managing a 580-person team with an $80M budget and co-chairing a cross-functional team for environmental safety. Joseph has also led significant engineering initiatives across multiple squadrons, overseeing large-scale construction portfolios, energy programs, and emergency services. Holds advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, and Fire Protection Engineering, complemented by recent certificates in Defense Energy and Refuel Logistics from the Naval Postgraduate School.
