UBC Faculty of Forestry
Brent Murray is a PhD student at The University of British Columbia's Faculty of Forestry since May 2022, following a role as a Geographic Information System Specialist - Remote Sensing at Ecora from May 2021 to March 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Geographic Information Systems Instructor at The University of Winnipeg and as Lead Guide/Instructor at Wilderland Adventure Company, where responsibilities encompassed leading outdoor adventures and training underprivileged youth. Additionally, Brent has held various positions at The University of Winnipeg, including Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant for both Advanced and Introduction to Remote Sensing, and a Contract Map Maker for a reconciliation project. An internship at CSIRO focused on developing automated methods for classifying mangrove alliances. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy from The University of British Columbia, a Masters in Geomatics for Environmental Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from The University of Winnipeg.
