Sima Khanal currently serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UBC Faculty of Forestry, supporting lectures and labs in the Forest Wildlife Ecology & Management course since August 2023. Concurrently, Sima holds a position as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia and has been the Secretary and Project Coordinator at ROAR FOR CONSERVATION since November 2017, facilitating diverse environmental conservation projects. Previously, Sima acted as Principal Investigator at The Rufford Foundation and as a Research Consultant for IUCN, where a study was conducted on Human Elephant Conflict mitigation strategies in Nepal's Khata Corridor. Sima Khanal holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Food and Resource Economics from The University of British Columbia and a Master of Science in Wildlife Management and Biodiversity Conservation from Tribhuvan University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Kathmandu Forestry College.
