Nova H. has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Nova(Cheng-Han) started their career as a Second Lieutenant in the ROC Army, where they commanded a group of 42 men and supported combat training. After their military service, they worked as a Process and Quality Engineer in a company called 安和公司, where they supported the migration of Glass Substrate AOI technology across multiple sites and integrated it with existing factory processes.
Following their role in 安和公司, Nova joined Calorie Enterprise Co. Ltd as a Specialist, where they supported the family twine business in the textile industry and improved the OQC binning process.
After that, Nova worked as a Quality NPI Senior Engineer in Catcher Technology Co. Ltd, where they liaised with the Apple iPhone11 Housing MQE Team and communicated with suppliers from various stages of production. Nova(Cheng-Han) also joined Newmax Technology Co. Ltd as an Assistant Project Manager, responsible for optimizing the Lens NPI/NTI process for cellphone/NB applications.
Currently, Nova is working as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer in Ubiquiti Inc. Their responsibilities include New Technology Introduction across various products, managing mechanical parts supplies, defining REL/Cos standards, vendor selection, and bringing up suppliers as partners.
Nova H. has a strong educational background in the field of materials sciences and engineering. From 2011 to 2013, Nova pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Materials Sciences and Engineering at Washington State University. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, Nova attended the Illinois Institute of Technology where they worked as an ESL/Project Assistant, although the degree obtained during this time is unknown.
Nova began their academic journey at the National Chung Cheng University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics.
In addition to their formal education, Nova has also obtained several certifications. These include the Internal Auditor IATF16949:2016 certification from TUV SUD Greater China (Taipei) in July 2017, the Six Sigma (Green Belt) certification from the Chinese Society for Quality in May 2017, the TRIZ-Technical Basic Practitioner Level1 certification from the International Society of Innovation Methods in February 2017, and the Certified Quality Technician certification, also from the Chinese Society for Quality, in December 2016.
