Walt Liao

Walt Liao has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Walt is currently working as an Embedded Firmware Engineer at Ubiquiti Inc. starting from October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Inspur Group from August 2020 to September 2022, first as a Software Engineer and then as a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they focused on developing Layer 2 protocols, designing Restful API architecture on SONiC, and implementing and maintaining product license policies and mechanisms.

Before joining Inspur Group, Walt worked at Moxa as a Software Engineer from January 2015 to August 2020. Walt'sresponsibilities included designing an auto configuration system and application for network settings based on location and device connections. Walt also developed user-friendly and visual applications using Java and web technologies.

Walt's career began at Academia Sinica, where they worked as a Research Assistant from September 2012 to July 2014. Walt'swork involved image processing, human detection, and image surveillance.
