Mateus Jarros

Mateus Jarros has a diverse work experience across various industries and roles. Currently, they are the CEO of Ubiratã, a joint venture between Gerdau and SpacetimeLabs. Mateus is responsible for delivering hyper-productivity, decarbonization, and resilience for leading industries. Prior to this, Mateus served as the Corporate Venture Capital Manager at Gerdau from December 2020 to January 2023.

Mateus has also held positions at Plant Prefab as a Board Observer from April 2022 to December 2022, Docket Brasil as a Member of the Board of Directors from October 2021 to December 2022, Terracotta Ventures as an Advisory Council Member from July 2021 to December 2022, Cubbo as a Board Observer from May 2022 to November 2022, and InstaCasa as a Board Observer from April 2022 to November 2022.

Furthermore, Mateus has experience as the Head of Corporate Development at Azion from April 2018 to December 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of M&A at Koliver Merchant Banking from March 2017 to April 2018. In this role, they directed client relationships, conducted valuation modeling and analyses, and was involved in MD&A and due diligence.

Mateus started their career at PwC, where they held multiple roles. Mateus worked as a Senior Consultant from July 2014 to March 2017, gaining experience in risk management consulting, internal and external auditing, and various financial and accounting consulting engagements. Mateus also served as a Consultant from July 2012 to June 2014 and as a Trainee from April 2011 to June 2012 at PwC, where they developed skills in SQL databases, process mapping and redesign, internal controls, and general IT controls and risk assessment.

Mateus Jarros has a diverse educational background. Mateus obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul from 2008 to 2013. In 2014 and 2015, they studied at Unisinos to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting, although it appears they did not complete the program.

In 2016 to 2019, Mateus pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Following this, in 2020, they participated in an Executive Education program focused on Corporate Finance at Ohio University.

In 2022, Mateus enrolled in the Venture Capital Program at The Wharton School. Mateus also obtained a certification in Venture Capital from Wharton Executive Education in March 2022. Additionally, they completed a certification in Analyze Data with SQL from Codecademy in January 2021 and Stanford Foundations of Data Science - Python from Stanford University in March 2020. In February 2020, they obtained a certification in Learn SQL from Codecademy.

Mateus Jarros is currently pursuing another degree, a Gestão de Negócios in Administração e Negócios at ISE Business School.
