Mat Travizano

Mat Travizano is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and complex systems. Currently serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley since October 2021, Mat also holds the position of Founder and Managing Partner at Sur Ventures, a role commenced in July 2021. Mat's entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of GranData in 2012, where Mat serves as Founder and Chairman as well as Founder and CEO. Previously, Mat founded Binaria ./ Innovative Science and held the position of CEO from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, Mat co-founded Underground Security Systems Research, serving as Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer from 1998 to 2001. Mat's academic foundation is rooted in a degree from the University of Buenos Aires, obtained between 1999 and 2004.
