Shreya Chaudhuri

Visiting Scholar

Shreya Chaudhuri is a highly engaged and passionate environmental advocate currently serving as a Visiting Scholar and Student Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley, where Shreya facilitates a class on "Decolonial Climate Education." Shreya has held several significant roles, including Climate Action Engagement Fellow, Council Member at DEIJ Sustainability Council, and Environmental Justice Development Coordinator at the American Cultures Center. As the Founder and CEO of Project Planet, a non-profit organization, Shreya has impacted over 3,500 students across 16 countries. Involvement with the United Nations Environment Programme's youth initiatives and the Fung Fellowship further showcases Shreya's commitment to climate action and innovation. Shreya is also gaining practical experience through internships at Berkeley Lab and The Nature Conservancy, focusing on water pollution remediation and conservation research. Shreya is pursuing a degree at UC Berkeley, expected to graduate in May 2025, building on an educational foundation from the Quarry Lane School, where Shreya graduated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
