George Baxter

George Baxter currently serves as the Chief Innovation and Economic Development Officer at the University of California, Davis, where responsibilities include leading Innovation and Economic Development and overseeing the Aggie Square project. Prior to this, George held various leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer of ERI Ltd. at the University of Edinburgh, where the focus was on industry relationships and commercialization. Earlier positions included CEO of Edinburgh Innovations Ltd. at the University of Nottingham, where George managed comprehensive research and enterprise initiatives, and Director of Business Engagement and Innovation Services. Additional experience encompasses a professorship and directorship at the University of Salford and strategic roles at the Northwest Regional Development Agency and AstraZeneca. George's educational background includes a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow.
