Troy Nelson

Troy Nelson has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Troy is currently the Chief Enterprise Architect at UCare starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at CareSource as an Enterprise Business Architect from November 2020 to April 2023. In this role, they focused on building and leading the refresh of the core business architecture knowledge repository. From April 2018 to November 2020, Troy was the Director of Business Architecture at Prime Therapeutics. Troy also held the position of Senior Principal of Business Architecture and Director of Claims Operations during their tenure at Prime Therapeutics. Additionally, Troy worked as an Adjunct Instructor at ITT Technical Institute, where they taught various courses. Troy also has experience as a Leader, Systems & Technology, Audit Operations/Compliance Officer at The Burchfield Group and as a Managing Principal at Rhumbline Partners. Prior to that, Troy worked as a Managing Consultant at Breakaway Solutions/Eggrock Partners and as a Senior Consultant at Norstan Consulting. Troy began their career as a Senior Business Analyst at Thiele Technologies/Bemis Packaging & Manufacturing Corp.

Troy Nelson earned a Master of Science in the Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism-Public Relations from the University of St. Thomas in 1996. In addition to their formal education, Troy has also obtained several certifications in various fields, including business architecture, agile methodology, and front-end development.
