Jason Ekert

Jason Ekert serves as the Head of US Discovery Translational Technology at UCB since June 2022, where responsibilities include leading research and forming partnerships in translational research technology. Prior to this role, Jason held the position of Senior Director and Head of Complex In Vitro Models at GSK from September 2016 to June 2022, focusing on the strategic development of complex human-relevant in vitro models for R&D applications in pharma and vaccines. Earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Johnson & Johnson from October 2005 to September 2016, where contributions involved generating cell-based assays and establishing a three-dimensional lung tumor assay platform. Jason's academic credentials include a PhD in Medical Science from the University of Adelaide and an MBA in Health Care and Entrepreneurship from Saint Joseph's University.
