Kathleen Mulderrig

Kathleen Mulderrig has a strong background in medical writing and communications. Kathleen started their career at ICI Americas, Inc, where they held various sales and sales support positions from 1989 to 1994. From 1994 to 1996, they worked as a Pharmaceutical Specialist at SPI Polyols, Inc, managing a sales territory and consistently exceeding sales targets. Kathleen then transitioned to an Applications Research Scientist role at SPI Polyols, where they oversaw research projects related to pharmaceutical tablet applications. In 2000, they joined Adolor Corporation as a Medical Writer, responsible for writing and coordinating the production of clinical and regulatory documents. Kathleen worked on Phase I-III Clinical Study Reports, IND Annual Reports, Investigator Brochures, and Clinical Study Protocols. Kathleen then joined AstraZeneca in 2002 as a Senior Medical Communications Scientist, where they led the planning, preparation, and delivery of global and regional submissions for various therapeutic areas. Kathleen also worked on projects related to cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, diabetes, and CNS medications. In 2011, they joined UCB as a Principal Medical Writer, providing regulatory communications advice and support to projects in the immunology and CNS therapy areas. Kathleen authored key study and submission level documents. Kathleen then moved to AbbVie in 2016 as a Principal Medical Writer, where they deployed to the Immunology Therapy Area and provided project management and authoring of important clinical and regulatory documents. Lastly, they returned to UCB in 2019 as the Director and Global Medical Writing Team Lead, overseeing the medical writing team's activities. Kathleen'sextensive experience showcases their expertise in medical writing, project management, regulatory communications, and therapeutic knowledge in immunology, CNS, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, diabetes, and other areas.

Kathleen Mulderrig obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Research and Organization Management from Drexel University College of Medicine between 2010 and 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Certificate in Business and Technical Writing from the University of Delaware from 1997 to 1999. In 1989, they completed an MBA at the Fox School of Business at Temple University, specializing in Chemistry Business. Kathleen'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Scranton, which they earned from 1983 to 1987. Kathleen'shigh school education was at Sun Valley High School. Additionally, in 2016 they obtained certification in "Gretchen Rubin on Creating Great Workplace Habits" from LinkedIn.
