Senior Nas Communications Manager at UEFA

Monika Mkhitaryan has a diverse work experience, starting with their role at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia as an Intern in the Protocol Services department from June 2004 to September 2004. Following this, they worked as a Football Specialist in the International Affairs department of the Football Federation of Armenia from September 2004 to September 2007. Monika then interned at the Communications Department of the World Health Organization from April 2009 to June 2009. Monika joined UEFA in July 2009 and held various positions, including President's Office from July 2009 to September 2015, Media Intelligence Officer / Communications from October 2015 to September 2017, and NAs Communications Manager from September 2017 to September 2021. Currently, they are serving as the Senior NAs Communications Manager at UEFA, leading a team in developing and implementing strategic communications plans for its Member Associations.

Monika Mkhitaryan completed their Bachelor's degree in International Relations/Diplomacy at Yerevan State University from 2003 to 2007. Monika then pursued their Master's degree in Political Science and Government at Université Lumière Lyon 2 from 2007 to 2008. Monika furthered their education by completing another Master's degree in Political Science and Government at Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) from 2008 to 2009. In 2018, they obtained a certificate in Influencing skills from AMP Training & Coaching Solutions SA.
