Olayinka Luqman Oniyo

Olayinka Luqman Oniyo has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of photojournalism. Olayinka luqman started their career in 2017 as the founder of BLACKSALT PHOTOGRAPHY. In 2018, they became the Head Photojournalist for sportsgaloreng.com and also worked as a Sports Photographer for the Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF). In 2019, they joined AIPS Media and the World Press Photo Foundation as a Sports Photographer and an APJD Member, respectively. The following year, they worked as a Sports Photographer for FIFA and Getty Images. In 2020, they became a Media Accredited Photojournalist for the Egyptian Football Association. In 2023, they took on the roles of a Freelance Photojournalist at IMAGO and a Media Accredited Photojournalist at UEFA. Overall, Olayinka Luqman Oniyo has gained valuable experience and expertise in the field of photojournalism, working with various organizations and demonstrating their passion for sports photography.

Olayinka Luqman Oniyo began their education in 2009 at Al-Hikmah University Ilorin, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Political Science and Conflict Resolution. In 2016, they attended West Africa Vocational Education for training in Hospitality Administration/Management. In 2017, they pursued further education at Lagos State Skills Acquisition and obtained Certificate II in Photography. Olayinka Luqman Oniyo has also obtained various certifications, including Climate Negotiations for Health Professionals from Eliacadey in December 2019, Multicultural Awareness from UNV Online in January 2019, and Open Source Leader from Common Purpose in September 2018. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in 2D Animation Principles and Getting Started in Photography from Lynda.com in August 2016.
