Head Of Logistics Operations at UEFA

Paolo Strada has extensive experience in logistics and operations management, with a focus on sports events. Paolo began their career in 1997 with Schenker Italiana SpA, where they were responsible for the organization of air and ocean shipments for Italian clients to exhibitions outside the EU. Paolo also managed the importation of goods for exhibitions in Italy for clients outside the EU. During their time with Schenker Italiana SpA, Paolo gained on-site exhibition experience at various international events, including EMO 1997 in Hannover and Arab Health 2003 in Dubai.

In 2004, Paolo joined Schenker Greece Athens as the Olympic Operations and IOC Liaison, where they played a crucial role in coordinating logistics and communications for the Olympic Games in Athens. Later in 2004, they became the TOROC Liaison Manager at Schenker c/o Organizing Committee Olympic Games Turin 2006, continuing their involvement in sports events management.

In 2006, Paolo joined Schenker Italiana SpA again but as a Sports Events Manager, overseeing logistics for various international sporting events such as the Football World Cup in Japan and Korea and the Athletics World Championships. Paolo held this role until 2006.

From 2007 to 2008, Paolo served as the Head of Exhibition Department at SAIMA AVANDERO SPA, where they were responsible for managing exhibitions and related logistics.

In 2008, Paolo moved to T.E.A.M. Marketing AG, where they worked in logistic and events management until 2012.

Lastly, Paolo Strada's most recent position was with UEFA, where they started as Senior Logistics Manager in 2012 and was eventually promoted to the role of Head of Logistics Operations. In these roles, Paolo had various responsibilities, including managing logistics for EURO 2016 and EURO 2020, creating and managing uniform distribution for EURO 2012, and overseeing VIP transport systems for UEFA Congress and Europa League Final events. Paolo also led the development and management of transport supplier contracts for UEFA Champions League and Europa League seasons. Paolo worked closely with stakeholders such as football teams, broadcasters, sponsors, and suppliers throughout their time at UEFA.

From 1990 to 1995, Paolo Strada attended ITC Pietro Verri where they obtained a diploma in Accounting.
