Steve Neill

Steve Neill has a diverse work experience in various roles related to safety and security in football. Steve served as a UEFA Venue Safety Operations member from November 2019. Prior to that, they were the Company Director at Stephen Neill Ltd. from May 2018. Steve also worked as the Head of Safety & Security at Sunderland AFC from October 2017. In 2016, they were an Associate at Keele University, working on a project to develop safety and security strategies with football supporters. Steve also worked as a Principal Consultant at South Yorkshire Police from March 2019 to July 2019. From September 2018 to June 2019, they served as a Safety Officer at Stephen Neill Ltd. Steve was a Principal Consultant at Police Scotland from September 2018 to February 2019. Steve also worked as a Principal Consultant at Foundation of Light (SAFC) from August 2018 to December 2018, and at UK Home Office from May 2018 to September 2018. Prior to these roles, they were the England Football Commander at the National Police Chiefs' Council from September 2015 to October 2017.

Steve Neill attended Newcastle University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Masters degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General studies.
