Walter Canales Sant'ana

Walter Canales Sant'ana graduated in Civil Engineering (1982) and Business Administration (1985) from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Master in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2002) and Doctor in Transport Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (2009). He is currently an adjunct professor III at the Department of Graphic Expressions and Transport at the State University of Maranhão. Coordinator in the state of Maranhão of the Brazilian Pavement Association (ABP) and the Asphalt Network. Experience in the area of ​​Road Infrastructure, with emphasis on Transport Infrastructure - Paving, working mainly on the following topics: asphalt mixtures, soil stabilization, use of tailings. In the area of ​​university management, he held the position of Dean of Research and Graduate Studies (2007 to 2010).
