Emely Chhu

President at UF SASE - Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers

Emely Chhu has a diverse range of work experience. Emely held various leadership roles in the UF Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers, including the position of President from April 2023 onwards. Emely also served as the Member Involvement Chair from May 2022 to April 2023 and worked as a SASE Intern from August 2021 to May 2022. Emely also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Programming Fundamentals 1 at UF Computer & Information Science & Engineering starting from August 2022. Emely gained industry experience as an Explore Intern at Microsoft from May 2023 to August 2023 and as a Solar & Battery Storage Operations Intern at NextEra Energy, Inc. from May 2022 to August 2022. Emely also worked as a Summer Intern at Comet from May 2021 to August 2021.

Emely Chhu obtained their High School Diploma from Lake Howell High School from 2017 to 2021. Emely is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Florida, starting from 2021 and expected to graduate in 2025. In addition, Emely has obtained various certifications including "Seizure Recognition and Seizure First-Aid" from Epilepsy Alliance Florida, "CPR/AED/First Aid" from the American Heart Association, "Excel Essential Training (Office 365/Microsoft 365)" and "Electronics Foundations: Fundamentals" from LinkedIn, and a "Flight Test Completion Certificate" from Comet.
