Catalina Diez

Catalina Diez's work experience includes roles at various organizations. Catalina worked at GRiP as an Assistive Devices Team Member, where they designed and 3D-printed a prosthetic hand for a child recipient. Catalina also served as the Assistive Devices Project Manager and the Assistive Devices Team 107 Captain at GRiP. At Dream Team Engineering, they worked as a Cardiothoracic Design Team Member. Catalina was the Graphic Design Director at UF Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, where they curated graphics and promotional materials and enhanced the organization's branding ideas. Catalina was also a MentorSHPE Mentee, Social Media Director, and Goals For Tomorrow Marketing Director at UF Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. Previously, they worked as the Secretary at SHPE CBHS, Public Relations Director at CBHS PRIDE Club, and Summer Scholar at Cleveland Clinic.

Catalina Diez completed their high school education at Cypress Bay High School from 2016 to 2020, earning a High School Diploma. Catalina then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Florida from 2020 to 2025. Alongside their academic studies, Catalina also obtained various certifications. In March 2022, they earned a SOLIDWORKS certification from Dassault Systèmes. In July 2022, they obtained a UX Deep Dive: Analyzing Data certification from LinkedIn. Additionally, in February 2023, they obtained an Adult CPR/AED certification from HSI and a MATLAB Onramp certification from MathWorks. Finally, in July 2023, Catalina earned a Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification from The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
