Christine Gerdes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Christine began their career as a Technical Support Specialist at General Systems Design, where they oversaw the installation of AS/400s, conducted training programs for users, and created interactive documentation. Christine then worked as a Database Administrator at Aegon, providing support for end-users and coordinating teams for data migration projects. Later, at Verizon Business, they served as a Project Manager, managing numerous projects, creating communication and training materials, and coordinating development and test teams. Christine then took on the role of Controls and Compliance Project Manager at Rockwell Collins, where they developed reports, maintained documentation, and incorporated LEAN principles into existing processes. At SecurityCoverage, Inc., Christine held two roles - Senior Quality Assurance Technician and Project Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for the design, development, and quality assurance of applications, as well as leading a large-scale initiative for system redesign. Currently, Christine works at UFG Insurance as an Integrations Business Analyst & Interim Product Owner. In this role, they gather and creates business/technical requirements for various large projects and identifies issues and cross-dependencies between systems.
Christine Gerdes attended North High School and obtained their diploma in 1989. Afterwards, they enrolled at the University of Iowa, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Art from 1989 to 1994. In addition to their academic qualifications, Christine has also obtained various certifications. In 2021, they became a DocuSign Organization Management Specialist through the DocuSign institution, and a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) through the Scrum Alliance. In 2020, they achieved an Associate in General Insurance (AINS) certification from The Institutes CPCU Society.
